Touch
Most of this group is capacitive touch controllers where you supply the electrode pads — the Waveshare touch displays that used to dominate it have moved elsewhere.
MPR121, CAP1188, CAP1203 Qwiic slider and AT42QT breakouts are sensor ICs for electrodes you wire yourself. Simple single-pad modules like the TTP223B give you one digital output with no bus required.
- MPR121 (12 pads, STEMMA QT), CAP1188 (8 pads, I2C or SPI) and SparkFun CAP1203 Qwiic slider are multi-channel controllers — you supply the electrodes and read touch state over the bus.
- AT42QT1010 (momentary) and AT42QT1070 (5-pad) breakouts, TTP223B and Grove Touch Sensor modules are standalone: one digital output per pad, no bus or library needed.
- DFRobot Gravity Gesture & Touch sensor (UART, 7 gestures, 0–30 cm range) adds non-contact gesture detection on top of touch; it fits neither the controller nor the display category.
