
Make your own smart LEDs with the same chip that is used in our NeoPixel strip and pixels. This tiny SOIC-8 is fairly easy to solder and can drive a single common-anode RGB LED or three single-color LEDs of your choice.
Pin 1, red-channel constant-current PWM output. WS2811 datasheet lists OUTR as output of Red PWM control.
Pin 2, green-channel constant-current PWM output. WS2811 datasheet lists OUTG as output of Green PWM control.
Pin 3, blue-channel constant-current PWM output. WS2811 datasheet lists OUTB as output of Blue PWM control.
Pin 4, ground reference.
Pin 5, reshaped cascade data output to the next WS2811 device.
Pin 6, single-line control data input from the controller.
Pin 7, speed-mode select. Datasheet states low-speed mode when connected to VDD, high-speed mode when left vacant.
Pin 8, power supply voltage for the WS2811 logic/core.
