Outdoor weather instruments, RS485 meteorological probes and platform sensor HATs — a mixed group united by measuring atmospheric or environmental conditions rather than a specific analyte.
Analog and digital anemometers, a tipping-bucket rain gauge, RS485 solar radiation and PAR probes, the AS3935 lightning detector, an airspeed sensor and multi-sensor HATs for outdoor weather monitoring.
- Wind and rain instruments: two analog 0–5V anemometers (0–30m/s, IP65), an RS485 wind speed transmitter (0–32.4m/s), the Gravity Tipping Bucket Rainfall Sensor (I2C/UART), and a complete Weather Station Kit with anemometer, wind vane and rain bucket. The Lark Weather Station Pro packages multiple sensors in one unit.
- RS485 scientific probes add solar radiation (400–1100nm), photosynthetically active radiation (PAR, 400–700nm), and a Pixhawk4 digital airspeed sensor — all suited to agricultural or UAV deployments where Modbus or analog outputs are standard.
- Lightning detection: SparkFun AS3935 and the Gravity Lightning Distance Sensor both use the AMS AS3935 Franklin sensor, which reports estimated storm distance and can distinguish lightning from local noise sources.
- Several multi-sensor HATs also land here — Sense HAT B/C, the Environment Sensor HAT for Raspberry Pi, the Jetson Nano and Pico environment modules — because they combine outdoor-relevant sensors on a single board.
