7V geared DC motor with a 1:20 ratio and a built-in magnetic quadrature encoder for closed-loop speed or position control. Encoder output connects to microcontroller interrupt pins to count pulses and calculate RPM.
Motor drive lead. Adafruit says to apply 7 V DC nominal to the red (M+) and green (M-) wires; these connect to a motor driver and can be PWM driven through an H-bridge.
Motor drive return lead. Adafruit identifies the green wire as M- for the motor driver/H-bridge connection.
Encoder electronics ground. Adafruit says to connect the black wire to the microcontroller ground pin.
Encoder electronics supply. Adafruit says to connect the blue wire to 3-5 VDC.
Hall-effect encoder output. Adafruit says the hall effect outputs are on the white and yellow wires.
