PowerBoost 1000 Basic - 5V USB Boost @ 1000mA from 1.8V+

OverviewWiringAlternates
PowerBoost 1000 Basic - 5V USB Boost @ 1000mA from 1.8V+ - Adafruit - 2030

DC/DC boost converter running from 1.8V+ input and outputting 5.2V at 1A+ via USB-A. A 4A internal switch allows over 1A from as low as 2V input; the slightly elevated 5.2V output prevents brownouts under load.

  • BAT

Battery/input supply for the boost converter. Adafruit states this input can range from 1.8V to 5V and recommends short battery leads.

    Type · PowerVoltage · 1.8V to 5V input
  • GND

Power ground. Adafruit notes the converter is not isolated, so input ground and output ground are common.

    Type · GroundVoltage · 0V
  • 5V

Boosted output rail. Adafruit describes it as about 5.2V while running, dipping toward 5V at higher load, with the green output LED tied to this rail.

    Type · PowerVoltage · ~5.0V to 5.2V output
  • EN

Enable control. Pulled high to VBAT by default; connect to ground to turn the booster off.

Type · ControlVoltage · Pulled to VBAT by default
  • LBO

Low Battery Output. Pulled high to BAT by default and drops to 0V when low battery is detected under about 3.2V; red LED is connected to this signal.
