Single-board computers run a full OS. The ecosystem — Raspberry Pi for GPIO and HATs, Jetson for CUDA edge AI, LattePanda for x86 Windows or Linux — matters more than the headline benchmark.
Full Linux or Windows on a board: Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB) to Zero 2 W, a wide range of Jetson Nano and Orin kits for CUDA vision work, x86 LattePandas — plus the coolers, antennas, and NVMe adapters keyed to each board generation.
- Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB), Pi 4 Model B (1–8GB), Pi 400, Pi 2 Model B and Zero 2 W cover the mainline 40-pin GPIO ecosystem; the Pi 4 desktop kit and a CM4/CM5 accessory range serve carrier-board and rack deployments.
- NVIDIA Jetson Nano, Jetson Orin Nano Super, Jetson AGX Orin, and Jetson TX2 kits are the CUDA route for vision and edge AI — different OS images, carriers, and coolers than the Pi line, and not interchangeable with it; the reComputer J4011 packages Jetson Orin NX 8GB in an edge-device enclosure.
- LattePanda Mu ships in N100 (8GB/64GB) and N305 (16GB/64GB) x86 compute module variants for Windows or stock Linux; the ROCK Pi 4SE (RK3399-T) and ROCK Pi 5B (RK3588) are the ARM alternatives with more limited software ecosystems; UNIHIKER M10 is a Python-first touchscreen SBC for IoT work.
