PIR and mmWave presence sensors, Hall-effect and angle encoders, piezo vibration discs, gesture breakouts and more — grouped here because they fit nowhere else.
- Motion has two camps: classic PIR (Adafruit PIR, BS412/BS612 minis, SparkFun OpenPIR) versus radar — the 5.8GHz MW0582TR11, 10.525GHz microwave Doppler boards, 24GHz mmWave presence and the C1001 60GHz fall-detection sensor — and radar detects static humans that PIR misses.
- Magnetic is one physics, three outputs: US5881LUA and DRV5032 are digital Hall switches, the Gravity ±1200 GS sensor is a linear analog Hall, and the AS5600 is an I2C magnetic angle encoder reading 0–359° rotation.
- Vibration and tilt are switch-grade, not IMU-grade: piezo discs and Gravity digital vibration sensors pulse on a knock, flexible piezo film is analog, and the Gravity 360° and Waveshare tilt sensors are simple ball switches.
- Gesture breakouts differ in range and bus: PAJ7620U2 does 13 gestures over I2C at 3–20cm, while the GR10-30 (Gravity and Fermion versions) does 12 gestures over UART or I2C out to 30cm.
